Last week, Eidel took part in IDLS 2026 (International Data Link Society), held in Dresden from 27–29 October. The symposium brought together professionals from across the international Tactical Data Link (TDL) community to exchange knowledge, discuss current challenges and explore technologies shaping the future of secure military communications.
Eidel was represented by Mustafa Karais and Andreas Olssen, connecting with international exhibitors, national system integrators, NATO partners and defence operators throughout the three-day event.
Secure and effective crypto distribution
During the symposium, Eidel hosted its own booth and held specialised technical briefings on our Remote Crypto Distribution System (RCDS®).
The briefings focused on how RCDS® addresses current crypto modernisation challenges and can make the distribution of cryptographic material safer and more effective, particularly for unmanned tactical radio sites.
The event also provided a valuable opportunity to discuss Eidel’s expertise in cryptographic engineering and our work to prepare secure communication solutions for future requirements, including the transition towards post-quantum security.
Connecting with the international TDL community
Beyond the technical programme, IDLS provided an important arena for exchanging experiences with partners, system integrators and defence operators from across the international TDL community.
We also took the opportunity to showcase Eidel’s updated 2026 visual identity and our broader capabilities to NATO partners and defence operators.
The strong interest and conversations throughout the symposium reinforced the importance of secure, resilient and future-ready communication technology in Europe, and the role that specialised technology and expertise can play in meeting these needs.
Thank you to everyone we met during three great days in Dresden. We look forward to building on the new connections and continuing the conversations.
And a special thanks to Lars Jonas Haarberg for the support and preparations both before and during the exhibition in Dresden.
