We design and deliver electronics, systems and services for environments where reliability, security and precision are essential. Trusted across space, defence and industry, our solutions are built to perform where failure is not an option.
Eidel design and supply electronics, hardware, software, and instrumentation services for environments where reliability and precision is non-negotiable. Our proven solutions support mission‑critical systems, including instruments and sub‑systems for sensing, data acquisition, telemetry, and secure satellite communications.
Empowerment through trust and responsibility.
Synergy between people, knowledge, and technology.
Curiosity through continuous learning and inspiring innovation.
Eidel develops and delivers a portfolio of proven product platforms for space and defence applications, including sensors and control systems for space situational awareness, payload control, secure communications, data acquisition, and encryption.
Our offerings include products and building blocks based on industry standards and well-established solutions, as well as tailored systems adapted to specific customer and mission requirements. We support our product portfolio with engineering services such as R&D, system integration, testing, and access to cleanroom facilities.
Our products are marketed and sold directly, with partners and representatives primarily supporting access to international markets. Production beyond prototype volumes is typically subcontracted, while final assembly, testing, and burn‑in are conducted in‑house to ensure quality and performance.
Eidel AS is a Norwegian registered limited liability company, fully owned by Molver AS since 2023. In recent years, we have received several innovation awards, including the Gazelle award for the fifth consecutive year.
In our pursuit for higher quality we have implemented a Quality Management System (QMS). Eidel QMS is certified according to NS-EN ISO 9001:2015.ISO certificate can be found here.
Eidel is certified to NATO QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION (AQAP-2110). The AQAP-certification may be shown on request.

In 1966, he established his own laboratory in the garage of his home in Eidsvoll. There, he began developing a satellite telemetry decoder, which was delivered to the Tromsø Telemetry Station the following year — marking the birth of Eidsvoll Electronics.
As demand for scientific instruments and environmental measurement systems grew, Erik assembled a team of talented engineers and moved into larger, more suitable facilities nearby. In the years that followed, the company became a national pioneer in the development of advanced telemetry and space-grade instrumentation. Over time, the company adopted “Eidel” as its brand name.
“Innovative Electronics” has always been Eidel’s trademark. Erik and his team built a company culture driven by curiosity, learning, and a willingness to explore new domains. This ethos was reflected in the development of remote measurement and control systems for subsea operations, telemetry decoders for monitoring offshore gas platforms, and avalanche detection systems. Among the more unique innovations was the now-legendary automatic chicken manure removal system (“Hønemøkk-raker”), designed and deployed for local farms.
In 1987, Eidel celebrated its 20th anniversary with the production of a promotional film, “Eidel, the story,” showcasing many of these innovations.
Although Erik retired in 1987, Eidel has maintained its core values of empowerment, synergy, and curiosity. Today, the company continues to strengthen its position as a strategic technology partner to the national defence and space industries.
