Oslo, Norway \u2014 March 4, 2026<\/strong> \u2013 The Norwegian defence and space technology company EIDEL<\/strong> participates in the Norwegian\u2013Swedish Defence Industry Seminar<\/em> held in Oslo from 2\u20134 March 2026<\/strong>, an inaugural bilateral forum organised by FSi (Forsvars- og sikkerhetsindustriens forening)<\/strong> in partnership with its Swedish counterpart, SOFF. The seminar provided a platform for industry leaders and policymakers from both countries to discuss cooperation, interoperability and shared opportunities in defence acquisition and capability development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the speakers was Truls O. Andersen, CEO of EIDEL, who focused his address on how the Nordic countries can strengthen their collective defence capability by identifying solutions that complement one another across national borders. In light of the evolving security landscape in Northern Europe, Andersen presented some of the solutions EIDEL have delivered past years, and emphasised the importance of mapping existing capabilities and using them together in smarter, more integrated ways rather than duplicating efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He highlighted several of EIDEL\u2019s recent deliveries as practical examples of technologies that, when combined with systems and competencies from neighbouring countries, could enhance interoperability, resilience, and operational effectiveness. By leveraging established solutions and aligning them across borders, Andersen argued, the Nordic nations can build a stronger, more cohesive defence posture within NATO and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EIDEL\u2019s participation underscored the company\u2019s commitment to supporting both Norwegian and Nordic defence objectives. The seminar featured a diverse programme including high-level presentations on procurement plans, discussions on the implications of NATO membership for Norway and Sweden, and opportunities for business-to-business dialogue and collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andersen\u2019s message resonated with ongoing efforts within the region to increase joint planning, interoperability and industrial cooperation among Nordic defence suppliers. His call for shared solutions echoes broader strategic trends in Nordic defence policy that aim to leverage strengths across countries to create a more integrated and capable regional defence landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
