System Engineer - Software

EIDEL is an engineering company specialized in electronics, software, and system design for space and defense. Our solutions and areas of expertise are within remote sensing, remote control, and encryption. The markets EIDEL operates in are experiencing increased growth, a trend that will continue over the next decades. EIDEL has a rapidly growing portfolio of assignments and needs a Systems Engineer who wants to develop with us.
As a Systems Engineer at EIDEL, you will lead the technical work in high-tech development projects within space and defense. Our projects have long lead times and require high competence and equipment. Therefore, it is important that you remain calm, keep an overview in complicated situations, and can quickly adapt when needed.
We are looking for a Systems Engineer with a background in software who also enjoys contributing to discussions across disciplines and the organization.
With us, you will follow the project from start to the delivery and acceptance of the final product by the customer. You will experience a high degree of freedom with responsibility, which we believe fosters great creativity.
Responsibilities:
- Follow up assigned projects with the overall system responsiblity, with the main responsibility for software, from handover to completion with the customer according to internal processes.
- Ensure that the project delivers according to the technical requirements in the contract, including software requirements.
- Be the technical counterpart to the administrative project manager.
- Work closely with project managers on content and progress in the project.
- Contribute to requirements-based software development and integration in the projects.
Desired Background:
- BSc or MSc in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or software engineering, or practical experience with systems engineering and relevant courses.
- Solid understanding of systems engineering methods and processes.
- Strong technical background in systems engineering and software development.
- Experience with software development methods and validation tools is preferred.
- Experience in leading larger projects is an advantage.
- More than 3 years of experience with several completed projects is preferred.
- Must be able to obtain security clearance up to SECRET / NATO SECRET.
- Good Norwegian and English skills, written and spoken.
