As we continue to expand our presence within our markets, we are seeking an accomplished Bid Manager with a structural and project management-oriented personality to lead our efforts in responding to tenders and proposals for projects with these esteemed organizations.

Job Description: Bid Manager

As the Bid Manager, you will play a pivotal role in securing contracts with both government agencies and commercial customers. Your responsibilities will encompass the end-to-end process of tender management, from identifying opportunities and understanding requirements to crafting compelling proposals and ensuring a successful handover to the project teams. The role will demand the involvement and orchistration of internal rescources and external sub suppliers into the tendering process and requires a structured personality with strong planning and execution skills , technical knowledge, and project management skills.

Key responsibilites:

  • Identify opportunities for bid submissions in the space and defense sectors.
  • Oversee the end-to-end bid process, from identifying opportunities to submitting winning proposals
  • Formulating effective strategies for the bidding process, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with client requirements
  • Creates comprehensive bid documents, ensuring precision and adherence to guidelines while coordinating with vendors
  • Work closely with head of sales and marketing department, project managers, design engineers, and senior personnel in the space and defense sectors
  • Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors in the space and defense sectors
  • Perform risk assessments and address concerns of clients and company staff.
  • Ensure deadlines are met
  • Report to head of sales and marketing department

About you:

We are seeking a candidate with strong planning and execution skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in organized task management, employing a methodical approach to problem-solving and project management. Their ability to adhere to schedules and maintain a systematic workflow, along with their precise execution of tasks, will be essential to meet project objectives. Additionally, their talent for creating detailed bid project plans and resource allocation will contribute to our continued success.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Adminstration, Economics or similar
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong English proficiency, both written and spoken
  • Attention to detail and ability to write effective proposals while adhering to budgetary and time constraints
  • Organized and Structured
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Advantageous Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or another relevant discipline.
  • Experience as a bid writer to ESA or bids of technical solutions to government customers
  • Industry knowledge and a willingness to keep up with the latest developments in the space and defense sectors.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

§ Candidates must be able to achieve Norwegian security clearance.
