EIDEL at Stortinget

The parliamentary groups of Høyre, Venstre, and SV, in collaboration with the Norwegian Industry Forum for Space Activities (NIFRO), invited key industry stakeholders to participate in a seminar on the Norwegian space industry. The seminar focused on how to increase value creation, strengthen the value chain, and create more jobs in the sector. EIDEL was one of several actors from the space sector who gave presentations in the first half of the program.

Space activities are of great significance for Norway both nationally and internationally. Nationally, they contribute to technological innovation, economic growth, and the creation of high-skill jobs. The sector promotes research and development in advanced technologies that can be applied across various industries, from communication to environmental monitoring.

Space activities also enhance Norway’s preparedness and national sovereignty through advanced satellite systems. Satellites ensure reliable communication during crises and enable continuous monitoring of borders, maritime areas, and environmental conditions. This increases security and the protection of national resources, while also contributing to international security and cooperation.

Alongside NIFRO and EIDEL were Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace, Space Norway, Andøya Space, Science & Technology, EMLogic, VAKE, and NTNU.

Thanks to NIFRO and the parliamentary groups for the invitation, and thanks to the other industry actors for their contributions.
