EIDEL Cleanroom upgrade
[2024-12-17] Eidsvoll, Norway.
EIDEL has this month successfully performed a re-verification and re-classification of our cleanroom, confirming compliance with ISO Class 7 standards. The verification was conducted for both the rest state and operational state with two personnel present inside the cleanroom, an upgrade from ISO Class 8.
An ISO Class 7 cleanroom is a controlled environment designed to limit the concentration of airborne particles to meet the standards set by ISO 14644-1. In an ISO Class 7 cleanroom, the particle count is restricted to 352,000 particles per cubic meter for particles ≥0.5 microns. These cleanrooms are commonly used in industries such as pharmaceuticals, electronics, aerospace, and medical device manufacturing to ensure product quality and safety. Proper airflow, filtration through HEPA filters, and controlled personnel activity are essential to maintaining cleanliness levels.
