What is the overall responsibility in the position?
There are 2 main goals for this position:
- EIDEL needs to expand its capacity in order to handle several development projects simultaneously.
- Further develop and expand in-house knowledge and competence with regards to PCB design.

A keen interest in Space, Defense, Security or Data Acquisition is a plus.
You are able to work interdisciplinary, to see your work in context of the system as a whole, collaborate with your colleagues, but also able to work independently.

You can speak, read and write English fluently.
Responsibilities:
- Design and development of advanced printed circuit boards (PCBs) with a focus on high performance and reliability.
- Design of electronic circuits and schematics, including selection of components and materials.
- PCB layout optimization for signal integrity, thermal performance, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
- Development of electronic solutions from concept to finished product.
- Testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electronic prototypes to ensure functionality and quality.
- Documentation of design processes, specifications, test plans and test reports.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate electronic components into our products.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Siemens Xpedition Enterprise / PADS, or similar.
- Solid understanding of analog and digital electronics, as well as experience with circuit board design, schematics, and layout.
- Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) is an advantage.
- Experience with system testing and delivery tests is an advantage.
- Familiarity with EMC/EMI standards and design practices is an advantage.
- Knowledge of FPGA programming requirements, physical requirements and interface to other PCB components is an advantage.
- Knowledge of VHDL coding is an advantage in understanding digital electronic design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Security clearance
Candidates must be able to achieve Norwegian security clearance.
